LOCUST GROVE — ELCA and Luella combined for 42 runs and 27 hits in a wild non-region contest. ELCA took advantage of seven Luella errors to eventually pull away in the late innings for a 24-18 win.
Rylie Kremposky went 3-for-4 with a home run and 5 RBIs, Hannah Smith went 4-for-6 with 3 RBIs and three runs scored and Isabelle Sullivan went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and three runs scored. Katie McDonald scored three runs and Chloe Burdette drove in three runs as well for the Lady Chargers, who improved to 1-1 on the season.
Luella (0-3) was led by Morgan Bennett, who drove in four runs and hit a home run in the loss.
