McDONOUGH — Final Four round of the Georgia High School Association is upon us but one program from Henry County is back in the hunt. The Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Chargers punched a ticket to the Class A Final Four for a date against Christian Heritage. It isn’t the first time that the Chargers have reached the Final Four round in the past two years. However, the program is looking to avoid the issues they faced last time they reached this round. Aquinas went on to beat the Chargers in a 47-41 game and even won the state title the very next week. ELCA will be looking for a chance to do that very same thing against their Final Four foe that was eliminated in Elite Eight last year. “In preparation for this season, our staff’s main goal was to maximize our players potential and abilities while helping them to mature in all facets of their lives,” ELCA head coach Derrick Mason said. “Our approach has been the same in accomplishing that goal. This year, the Chargers have scored 1,880 points whereas Christian Heritage has scored 1,719 points this season. ELCA has seemingly struggled defensively against a number of teams but the programs they lost to were all talented at new things that tested the program. Both teams have never faced each other either according to ...
