McDONOUGH — The Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Chargers boys basketball team pulled off what had previously been undone in school history — win a region title.
The Chargers claimed the Region 5 A-Private title Saturday night against Greenforest, avenging their only region loss of the season with a 66-54 victory.
ELCA fell behind in the first quarter 17-15 before outscoring Greenforest 35-22 in the next two quarters to take a lead into the fourth quarter. The Chargers limited Greenforest to just 15 points to maintained the advantage and clinch the region title.
